The Patient Network is one way that the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) listens to the public and patients in the local area and forms part of the CCG's constitution.
The Patient Network meets quarterly and allows Patient Neighbourhood Representatives to share their views on the work of NHS Tameside and Glossop CCG in a more formalised way. It also:
- Gives feedback on any new or proposed services as well as how services are delivered
- Feeds back to their respective Patient Participation Groups (PPGs) and Neighbourhood Groups on new proposals relating to healthcare services
- Helps develop CCG strategies and policies
- Appraises information for the public developed by the CCG
