The Health Trainer Service
This service can offer support after diagnosis around lifestyle, eating well on a budget, becoming more active and improving sleep patterns.

This free service offers clients one-to-one support for up to six months. Both daytime and evening sessions available and Health Trainers can also signpost you to local community groups including

  • Low-level seated exercise sessions
  • Tai-Chi sessions 
  • Cook and eat courses
  • Sew, mend & create sessions
  • Mental health and wellbeing improvement sessions  

To be referred to the service, or to make a referral call 0161 716 2000 and ask for their local Health Trainer Service.

Please note the Health Trainer Service is only for Tameside residents.
